Mayakovsky Mount

a mountain peak in the southwestern Pamirs, in the western part of the Shakhdar’ia Range, Tadzhik SSR. Elevation, 6,096 m. There are glaciers on the slopes. On the northern side there are steep rocky walls. Mount Mayakovsky was first ascended in 1947 by Soviet mountain climbers led by V. A. Budanov.
