Korol’kova, Anna Nikolaevna
Born Feb. 3 (15), 1892, in the village of Staraia Toida, now in Anna Raion, Voronezh Oblast. Soviet Russian storyteller. Member of the CPSU since 1944.
Korol’kova’s fairy tales began to be written down at the end of the 1930’s. Her repertoire is varied: tales about bogatyri (epic heroes) and sorcerers, stories of adventure and everyday life (approximately 100 subjects), anecdotes, songs, chastushki (dit-ties), riddles, and proverbs. Korol’kova is a member of the Writer’s Union of the USSR.
