(ODTS) (ōr-gan'ik dŭst tok'sik sin'drōm) A noninfectious febrile illness associated with chills, malaise, myalgia, dry cough, dyspnea, headache, and nausea that occur after exposure to heavy organic dust; condition shares many clinical features with acute farmer's lung and other forms of hypersensitivity pneumonitis (e.g., presence of increased numbers of neutrophils in bronchoalveolar lavage).
