Location:In Garrett County, 5 miles south of Grantsville, off I-68.
Facilities:37 improved campsites (é), 11 camper cabins, bathhouses with hotshowers, camp store, restrooms (é), picnic area and shelters (é),hiking trails, boat launch, boatrentals (rowboats, kayaks, paddleboats, surf bikes), nature center.
Activities:Camping, boating, flatwater canoeing, freshwater fishing, swimming,hiking, mountain biking (but not when trails have snow), cross-countryskiing, interpretive programs.
Special Features:Park lies within the boundaries of Savage River State Forest (seeseparate entry). It was built on the site of a former milling center onthe Savage River and features a 13-acre lake.
