Law Concerning Personnel Exchange

Law Concerning Personnel Exchange between National Government and Private Enterprise. Legislation in Japan, adopted in 1999, regulating civil servants who take high positions in private companies and vice versa. Under the law, the civil servants (or executives) may only take positions in each other's fields on contracts under three years, and the National Personnel Authority must publish the names of those who do so. The law was intended to limit the effect of amakudari.
