Moyano, Carlos María

 

Born 1854, in Mendoza; died 1910, in Buenos Aires. Argentine geographer and explorer of Patagonia (from 1876).

In 1877, Moyano discovered (with F. Moreno) Lakes San Martin and Argentine. In 1880–81 he discovered the upper reaches of the Deseado River and Lake Buenos Aires at 46° S lat., and between 46–44° S lat. he explored the basin of the Senguerr River (Chubut River system).
