organismic psychotherapy
organismic psychotherapy
Alternative psychiatryA permutation of Reichian therapy developed in the 1960s by Malcolm Brown, who divided the body into four “ontological being centres” that interact with the external environment.
Ontological being centres
• Agape-eros centre (Chest)—mediates open interactions with others.
• Hara centre (Abdomen)—allows self-love and self acceptance.
• Logos centre (Upper back)—facilitates understanding.
• Phallic-spiritual-warrior centre (Lower back, extremities)—mediates perseverance.
