organismic psychotherapy

Alternative psychiatry
A permutation of Reichian therapy developed in the 1960s by Malcolm Brown, who divided the body into four “ontological being centres” that interact with the external environment.
Ontological being centres
• Agape-eros centre (Chest)—mediates open interactions with others.
• Hara centre (Abdomen)—allows self-love and self acceptance.
• Logos centre (Upper back)—facilitates understanding.
• Phallic-spiritual-warrior centre (Lower back, extremities)—mediates perseverance.
