Special Features:Banks Lake is a natural pocosin, or mill pond, most likely created by the tidal action of the ocean and shaped by a more temperate climate thousands of years ago. The site's 1,000 acres of open water are popular for sport fishing.
Habitats: 4,049 acres of cypress swamp, marsh, and lake.
Access: Open during daylight hours.
Wild life: Ducks, wading birds, and shorebirds.
