MCM10

A gene on chromosome 10p13 that encodes one of the highly conserved mini-chromosome maintenance (MCM) proteins that are involved in initiating eukaryotic genome replication. MCM10 juxtaposes MCM2-7 helicase and the DNA polymerase alpha/primase complex to initiate DNA replication, and it plays a role preventing DNA damage during replication.
