Abdulino

a city in Orenburg Oblast, RSFSR, situated on the Surmet River, in the Kama Basin. Population in 1968, 27,000. It is a station on the Kuibyshev-Ufa railroad. Although Abdulino has most of its industry based on agriculture—it has both a mill combine and a dairy combine—it also has railroad transport and construction material enterprises. Oil and gas deposits are being developed southeast of the city in the basin of the upper Dema River.
