[‚mī·ə′dar·ē·ə] (invertebrate zoology) A section of the Schizophora series of cyclorrhaphous dipterans; in this group adult antennae consist of three segments, and all families except the Conopidae have the second cubitus and the second anal veins united for almost their entire length.
