Location:13 miles north of I-70 on Highway 41 in Saline County.
Facilities:12 basic campsites, 34 electric campsites, 1 campsite with full hookup,showers, special-use area, picnic sites, picnic shelter, restaurant,hiking trails, interpretive center, museum.
Activities:Camping, lake fishing, hiking, interpretive programs, guided historical tours.
Special Features:This historic village depicts the 19th-century character of Missouri's frontier years. Buildings include a one-room jail, the old courthouse, the home of artist George Caleb Bingham, and the Old Tavern where visitors can dine in an 1800s atmosphere. The Arrow Rock Lyceum is a noted summer theater that provides entertainment for visitors to the historic site. (See also Sappington Cemetery State Historic Site.)
