ATP2B2

ATP2B2

(1) A gene on chromosome 3p25.3 that encodes an enzyme belonging to the family of P-type primary ion transport ATPases, which form an aspartyl phosphate intermediate during the reaction cycle. These ATPases remove bivalent calcium ions from eukaryotic cells against large concentration gradients and play a central role in intracellular calcium homeostasis.
(2) ATP2B4, see there.
