Okarem

an urban-type settlement in Gasan-Kuli Raion, Krasnovodsk Oblast, Turkmen SSR. It is situated in the extreme southwest of the republic, 212 km south of the city of Nebit-Dag. Population, 5,400 (1973). Oil and gas are extracted near the settlement.
