Nsuta

a city in the Western Region in southern Ghana. Population, approximately 8,000. The city is linked by rail with the port of Takoradi. Large quantities of manganese ore are mined at the Nsuta deposit nearby. In 1972 approximately 300,000 tons of the ore were extracted.
