(Petroleum Worker), a monthly popular and trade journal of the Ministry of the Petroleum Industry of the USSR and the Central Committee of the Trade Union of Workers of the Petroleum, Chemical, and Gas Industries. Published in Moscow since 1956. Neftianik publishes materials on the exchange of industrial (production) knowledge and on socialist emulation, proposals for improving production methods, and information on the life of petroleum workers, as well as foreign news in petroleum extraction.
