Tembenchi
Tembenchi
a river in Krasnoiarsk Krai, RSFSR; a right tributary of the Kochechum River of the Enisei River basin. The Tembenchi measures 571 km in length and drains an area of 21,600 sq km. It originates in and flows through a deep valley in the Central Siberian Plateau. In its upper course, the river flows through several lakes, the largest of which is Lake Tembenchi (86.8 sq km). The Tembenchi River is fed primarily by snow. High water lasts from late May through September. Approximately 60 percent of the annual flow occurs during May and June, and 5–6 percent from November through April. The mean flow rate 89 km from the mouth is 252 cu m per sec. The Tembenchi freezes in October, and the ice breaks up in May or early June.
