sipster

sipster

slang One who is pretentious, snobby, or excessively focused on trends in relation to what one drinks, especially coffee or alcohol. A jocular combination of "sip" and "hipster." A: "I only drink coffee made from locally roasted beans that are grown and harvested without any mechanical implements." B: "It's just coffee. Don't be such a sipster." I fully admit that I've become a total sipster when it comes to beer. I just can't drink the swill pumped out by those big breweries anymore.

sipster
