Usole

a city and the administrative center of Usol’e Raion, Perm’ Oblast, RSFSR. It is located on the right bank of the Kama River, opposite the city of Berezniki. A bridge across the Kama is under construction (1977). Founded in 1606 as a salt-producing center, Usol’e has food-processing and light-industry enterprises.
