(protocol)ULP
(1) (Upper Layer Protocol) A protocol at a high layer of the protocol stack, such as the application layer or a layer between the application layer 7 and transport layer 4 (see OSI model). Depending on context, it may just refer to the protocol directly above another.(2) (Ultra Low Power) An earlier name for the low- power mode in Bluetooth 4, ULP is also used to describe various low-power sensor networks (see Internet of Things). See Bluetooth LE.
(3) (Universal Logging Protocol) An attempt to standardize the content format of syslog messages. See syslog protocol.
