Polesskoe

an urban-type settlement and administrative center of Polesskoe Raion, Kiev Oblast, Ukrainian SSR. Situated on the Uzh River, a tributary of the Pripiat’, 15 km from the Vil’cha railroad station. Population, 9,200 (1974). Polesskoe has combines that process foodstuffs and industrial products. It also has furniture and clothing factories, a flax-processing plant, a brickyard, and a wood-products plant.
