Sisian

a city and administrative center of Sisian Raion, Armenian SSR. Sisian is located on the Vorotan River of the Araks River basin. It is 98 km northeast of the Nakhichevan’ railroad station, on the Yerevan-Baku line. Sisian has a branch of the production association Armelektrosvet (Armenian Electric Light), a cheese plant, and an industrial combine. Local enterprises produce construction materials, reinforced-concrete goods, and fruit juices and canned fruits. [23–1373–]
