ultraclean (ŭl′tră-klēn) [ ultra- + clean] Purified to a very high level by filtration or some other mechanism. For example, purified air used to ventilate an operating room is known as ultraclean air, and the room so purified is known as an ultraclean room. Other situations in which the purification is at a lower level are known as clean, e.g., clean air; clean room. |
