Ripping Out Eyeballs

Ripping Out Eyeballs

In investment banking, the act or practice of working against a client's interest in order to advance the interest of the investment bank. For example, a bank may encourage a client to go long on a security when it believes the price will drop because doing so raises the price in the short term and enables the bank to profit from a short sale. In some circumstances, ripping out eyeballs may be illegal.
