a monthly illustrated mass-circulation magazine of the All-Union Central Council of Trade Unions. Twist has been published in Moscow since 1966. It deals with the development of mass tourism and organized excursions. It includes descriptions of travel itineraries and do-it-yourself touring equipment, as well as advice on various types of trips; it publishes information on natural conservation, the provision of services on projected travel routes, and the economics of tourism. A special section is devoted to tourism in other socialist countries. Circulation, 210,000(1975).
