Turka is located 75 km southwest of Drogobych, in the Stryi River, a tributary of the Dniestr, and the Uzhgorod-L’vov highway. It has a railroad station on the Uzhgorod-L’vov line. Turka has a bread-baking combine and a cheese shop of the Staryi Sambor Cheese Plant. There is also a sawmill.
