a city and administrative center of Temriuk Raion, Krasnodar Krai, RSFSR. Landing on the right bank of the Kuban’ River, not far from where the river empties into the Sea of Azov. Seaport 4 km from the city. Linked with the Krymskaia-Kavkaz line by a 14-km branch line. Population, 26,600 (1975).

The food industry is represented in Temriuk by a cannery, a fish-processing plant, and a winery. The city has an experimental machinery plant and a garment factory. The Taman’vino Agrarian-Industrial Production Association is also located in the city. Temriuk has a museum of local lore.
