Siverek

a city in southern Turkey, in Urfa Vilayet; located on the Urfa-Diyarbakir highway. Population, 35,000 (1970). Siverek is the trade center of an agricultural region where grains and nuts are grown and livestock is raised. The city has food-processing and textile industries. [23–1016–]
