Structure of Social Production

the interrelationship among branches of production that, within a given system of production relations, expresses the proportions of the national economy and the current status of the social division of labor (seePROPORTIONS OF SOCIAL PRODUCTION). The scientific basis for anal ysis of the structure of social production is the Marxist-Leninist theory of reproduction, which defined the composition and principal elements of the structure, the laws governing change in the structure—laws both general and particular to the various modes of production—and the factors that affect the growth and development of the structure.
