Ust’e
an urban-type settlement and the adminstrative center of Ust’-Kubinskii Raion, Vologda Oblast, RSFSR. Ust’e is a landing at the mouth of the Kubena River, which flows into Kubena Lake. It is located 37 km northwest of the Sukhona railroad station on the Vologda-Konosha line and 70 km north of Vologda. The settlement has a butter factory, and a machine-assembly plant is located in the vicinity. Ust’e is the site of the Vysokovskaia timber flotation boom. Lace is produced in the area.
Ust’e
a river in Yaroslavl Oblast, RSFSR; a left tributary of the Kotorosl’ River of the Volga River basin. The Ust’e is 153 km long and drains an area of 2,530 sq km. It is fed by mixed sources, but predominantly by snow. The mean flow rate 42 km from the mouth is 10.3 cu m per sec. The Ust’e freezes over in early November, and the ice breaks up in April.
