Ust-Katav

a city in Katav-Ivanovsk Raion, Cheliabinsk Oblast, RSFSR. Ust’-Katav is situated on the western slopes of the Southern Urals, at the confluence of the Katav River with the Iuriuzan’ River of the Kama River basin. The city has a railroad station on the Ufa-Cheliabinsk line. Industry is represented by a plant that produces railroad cars and by food-processing enterprises.
