Sée, Henri Eugene
Born Sept. 6, 1864, in Saint-Brice, department of Seine-et-Oise; died Mar. 10, 1936, in Rennes. French historian.
A student of Fustel de Coulanges, See was a professor at the University of Rennes between 1893 and 1920. His works are devoted to the history of the medieval French peasantry up through the 18th century and the economic history of France, especially the history of early capitalism. He also wrote a number of works on the history of political thought in France.
