Süphan Dagi

 

an extinct volcano in Turkey, on the Armenian Highland, near the shore of the lake Van Gölü. Süphan Dagi rises to an elevation of 4,434 m, approximately 2,700 m above the lake. Its massive dome is composed of andesite lavas, with firns and glaciers in the craters. The slopes have mountain steppes.
