Skalat

a city (since 1939) in Podvolochinsk Raion, Ternopol’ Oblast, Ukrainian SSR; located on the Zbruch River, a tributary of the Dnestr. Skalat has a railroad station. It has plants for the production of mixed fodder, asphalt, and household chemicals, as well as other enterprises. [23–1458–]
