(pon'tō-ser'ă-bel'ŭm), Those areas of the cerebellar cortex that receive input from cells of the basilar pontine nuclei; includes all cortical regions; its projections to the hemisphere are greater than to the vermis; pontocerebellar fibers send collaterals to the cerebellar nuclei en route to the overlying cortex.
