Padenga

(Pidigo), a river in Arkhangel’sk Oblast, RSFSR, a left tributary of the Vaga River (Severnaia Dvina River basin). The Padenga is 169 km long and drains an area of 1,040 sq km. It is fed primarily by snow. The river freezes in November, and the ice breaks up in April. It is used for floating timber.
