Sketch MapSketch Mapa rough sketch of an area done in the field, delineating the area’s most important features. A sketch map can also be constructed from a topographical map or an aerial photograph. Reference points are plotted on the sketch map, and the characteristic local features are drawn in perspective in the margins.
