a lake in Pskov Oblast, RSFSR. Lake Sebezh has an area of 16 sq km and a maximum depth of 9.8 m. It is connected with the Zapadnaia Dvina river system. The lake is fed in various ways. Its level fluctuates within a range of approximately 1.5 m, with the highest level in April and the lowest in March. The lake freezes in November or December, and the ice breaks up in late April or early May. The Ugarinka River (Zapadnaia Dvina River basin) flows out of Lake Sebezh. The city of Sebezh is located on the lake.
