An inherited condition (OMIM:610227) characterised by a chronic fine diffuse scaly erythematous rash on the face, especially of the chin, nasolabial folds, eyebrows, around the earlobes and over the scalp, that exacerbates in the winter, with emotional stress and after strenuous physical activity. It is accompanied by hyperkeratosis over the elbows, knees, palms, soles and metacarpophalangeal joints.
