Early disseminated Lyme disease, stage 2 Lyme disease Infectious disease A stage of Lyme disease that develops wks to months after the primary skin lesions disappear, characterized by neurologic or cardiac Sx; SLD spreads via the lymph or blood wks after the tick bite Clinical Lesions involve skin, CNS, and musculoskeletal systems; Sx occur in half of Pts and may be intermittent and disappear spontaneously; heart is involved in ±10%.
