Thorius, Spurius

Roman political figure and tribune of the people in 111 B.C. Thorius passed a law according to which various categories of state-owned land (ager publicas) were transferred to private ownership, meaning that the land could be sold. This act completed the gradual repeal of the reforms promulgated by the Gracchi.
