radial chromatography radial chromatography[′rād·ē·əl ‚krō·mə′täg·rə·fē] (analytical chemistry) A circular disk of absorbent paper which has a strip (wick) cut from edge to center to dip into a solvent; the solvent climbs the wick, touches the sample, and resolves it into concentric rings (the chromatogram). Also known as circular chromatography; radial paper chromatography. |
