Porsangen Fjord
Porsangen Fjord
a fjord of the Barents Sea in northern Norway, between the Porsangen and Svaerholt peninsulas. It is 120 km long and up to 20 km wide in the central section, with depths ranging from 50 to 100 m. The banks are high and steep and there are many rocky islands. Tides, which can be as high as 2.2 m, are semidiurnal.
