Radiation Flux

the total energy transmitted by optical radiation (at all frequencies present in the radiation) per unit time across a given surface. For an absorbing surface, radiation flux is the sum of the absorbed and reflected energies. The concept of radiation flux applies to time intervals that are considerably longer than the period of the light vibrations.
