It provides a range of recreationalopportunities, including backcountry hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding. MountLemmon offers alpine skiing in the during the winter months.
Legth: 27 miles. Start/Endpoint: From the Sonoran Desert floor in Tucson to the village ofSummerhaven near the top of Mount Lemmon in the Santa CatalinaMountains north of Tucson. Time to Allow: 3-6 hours (including backtracking). Designation/Year: National Scenic Byway (2005).
