Palladian styleThe first distinctive British Georgian style designed by the architect William Kent, who drew inspiration from the work of Andrea Palladio. His furniture combined lavishly sculpted Italian baroque models with symmetrical ornament to match the interior designs. Kent’s work was published in 1744.
