Portman, John, Jr.

(1924–)American architect/developer known for his large urban buildings, including Peachtree Center (1961) and the Hyatt Regency Hotel (1967), both in Atlanta, GA. He also designed the Hyatt Regency Hotel (illus.), and Rockefeller West, both in San Francisco, CA (1975); and an office tower, One Peachtree Center, Atlanta, GA (1992).
