Pamiatniki Drevnei Pis’mennosti I Iskusstva

 

(Monuments of Ancient Literature and Art), a serial publication issued by the Society of Lovers of Ancient Literature and Art, founded in 1877. Between 1878 and 1925, 190 issues appeared in St. Petersburg and Leningrad. The Pamiatniki included source material and studies on the history of Old Russian literature, social thought, and art. Among the source material were works by Kirill of Turov, The Life of Sergii Radonezhskii, The Tale of the Taking of Tsar’grad, and The Monk Foma’s Eulogy of the Grand Prince Boris Aleksandrovich. The Pamiatniki also contained descriptions of manuscript collections.
