Ulugbek

an urban-type settlement in Tashkent Oblast, Uzbek SSR. It is under the jurisdiction of the Kuibyshev district soviet of the city of Tashkent. Located 10 km from the city of Tashkent. Population, 6,600 (1975). The Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Academy of Sciences of the Uzbek SSR is in Ulugbek.
