Uluiul
Uluiul
a river in Tomsk Oblast, RSFSR; a right tributary of the Chulym River in the Ob’ River basin. The Uluiul is 411 km long and drains an area of 8,450 sq km. It flows along the south-eastern part of the West Siberian Lowland. The river is fed by mixed sources, primarily snow. High water occurs from May to July. The mean flow rate 70 km from the mouth is 47.2 cu m per sec. The Uluiul freezes between mid-October and mid-November, and the ice breaks up between mid-April and mid-May. The river is used for timber flotation.
